My Big 3

Why These 3 Work – Skin Health Guide

Why These 3 Practices Heal Your Skin from Within

Inside-Out Healing: I reversed chronic acne through 3 natural practices: Vitamin A from beef liver, raw kefir, and tallow-based skincare. Here’s the science behind how they work — and why they could work for you too.

1. Whole-Food Vitamin A: Nature’s Retinol

Accutane (isotretinoin) is a powerful acne drug derived from synthetic vitamin A. It shrinks oil glands and speeds skin turnover — but comes with risks like extreme dryness and liver stress.

Grass-fed beef liver is the most bioavailable food source of real vitamin A (retinol). I take it as a capsule supplement — it’s my natural version of Accutane without the scary side effects.

Why It Works:

  • Regulates oil production — naturally balances sebum, so pores stay clearer.
  • Speeds skin turnover — retinol encourages fresh skin regeneration.
  • Feeds the skin from the inside — packed with zinc, iron, and B vitamins for barrier health.

Liver also contains cofactors that help your body safely utilize vitamin A — unlike synthetic versions that can deplete other nutrients. This is why I call it “natural Accutane.”

2. Raw Kefir: The Gut-Skin Connection

Your skin is a mirror of your gut. I used to struggle with bloating, sugar cravings, and acne — until I discovered the magic of raw kefir. This fermented milk drink is loaded with live probiotics that reset the gut microbiome and soothe systemic inflammation.

Why It Works:

  • Restores microbiome balance — reducing inflammatory bacteria linked to acne.
  • Seals the gut lining — preventing “leaky gut” and skin-triggering toxins.
  • Boosts nutrient absorption — helping you absorb skin-healing vitamins better.

I drink a small glass of raw, unsweetened kefir on an empty stomach every morning. It’s one of the most powerful anti-acne tools I’ve ever used.

3. Beef Tallow & Honey: Skincare That Works With You

After ditching harsh topicals, my skin barrier was wrecked — dry, red, and reactive. The solution? A simple, ancestral balm made of grass-fed beef tallow and raw honey.

Why It Works:

  • Mimics human sebum — absorbs deeply, nourishes, and heals.
  • Loaded with vitamins A, D, E & K — supports regeneration.
  • Free of fillers — no emulsifiers, preservatives, or irritating ingredients.

This one product replaced my cleanser, moisturizer, and spot treatment. And for those who don’t like tallow, other non-comedogenic oils like rosehip, jojoba, or maracuja are great alternatives.
